Common grounds to appeal a code 22 PCN
- You did not return - it was a separate parking session after the no-return period had ended.
- You parked in a different place or zone not covered by the rule.
- The no-return period was not shown on the signs.
Also check the PCN itself: are the date, time, location, vehicle and code correct, and was it served on time? Errors can support the statutory grounds, such as procedural impropriety or 'the contravention did not occur'.
Evidence to gather
- Evidence of your movements (receipts, app records, tracker or dash-cam).
- Clear, dated photos of the vehicle position, road markings and every nearby sign or time plate (take them as soon as possible).
